Wholebeing Journey to Costa Rica

Close Your Eyes

Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale. Imagine waking up to the sound of ocean waves just a few yards away at the beach, the chattering of two scarlet macaws in a nearby palm tree and the smell of a cup of freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee. You’ll walk to the beach and see one of the most remote and beautiful places the world has to offer. Something deep inside seems to wake up and soften.

Each day you will enjoy some of the freshest and most nourishing cuisines from around the world. In the mornings, there will be opportunities to move and strengthen your body with yoga and functional movement. You’ll have time to calm your mind with mindfulness and breathwork. In the beautiful Wholebeing Studio that overlooks the gardens and beach, you’ll explore the interweaving of all of these wholebeing practices. You’ll discover how they can work in your life to build resiliency and joy.

Experience the sweetness of time and space each afternoon. Lounge in a hammock with a book, go for a long walk on the beach, relax with a massage or other spa treatment or go horseback riding, deep-sea fishing or on a zip line through a lush rainforest.

This Journey is curated to align with Costa Rica’s unexplainable magic—it’s called Pura Vida. It’s a spirit of pure and simple living that rises from deep wells of gratitude and joy. We want you and your fellow sojourners, to feel that spirit of vibrant energy and have it infuse your life.

You’ll make new friends, gather new tools and discover new insights about what matters to you.

The Epidemic of TOO MUCH

Have you been feeling stuck in a state of overwhelm?
Pulled in so many directions and drowning in the to-do lists of life?
Feeling that life is just too much?

You know you can do better in your job, relationships, at home and with your self-care but this feeling of too much has pulled you off course. Something has to shift if only you had a little time, space and the right support to reset and get back on track.

You’re not alone! We’ve been there too and through our wholebeing practices, we know finding your way is possible.

Alice Dommert, Meg Townsend, Marco Dapkey and Jack Curley are ready to be your guides. Each has had their own unique path and has traversed hard places along the way. The breadth of collective life experiences and expert trainings will help you find the practices to refill your tank, discover your new best way of being and translate that to a path of practices for when you return home.

Write a New Chapter of Your Life Where There is Time for YOU

We believe in the power of travel and getting out of your familiar and comfortable environment. The Journey begins when you say yes. A new page turns for the next chapter of your life. In Costa Rica you cannot resist the power of place.

When Alice Dommert first visited Bue Osa in 2015, the ripples of the trip spread beyond her wildest dreams. (Check out her article, My 5 Unexpected Business Benefits from My Trip to Blue Osa, Costa Rica.)

This is an invitation for you.

Yes, you are busy with work and with life. You are juggling many balls and also contributing to the world in ways no one else can. We need all of your gifts and talents, kindness and compassion, patience and joy. Your time and resources are precious. The way you choose to use these will determine if you can harness the very best of you to make a difference. We need you.

We can see you at Blue Osa, laughing and relaxed, radiant and joyful, connecting with your partner, friend, mother or the college roommate you’ve been promising to get together with for the past few years.

We see you meeting new people who share the desire to thrive. There will be time for sunlight, time to pause and breathe, time to be in all the abundant beauty.

The Wholebeing Journey to Costa Rica provided all that and more for the participants on a similar trip with Prasada in 2018.

Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been and Blue Osa is stunning. I feel so grounded, nurtured and inspired! And seeing a family of monkeys swinging in the trees sparked such a moment of pure joy in my heart.

Thank you, Prasada for making this journey so memorable. I can’t wait until the next one!

Our Home Away From Home – Blue Osa

Blue Osa is a gem set in the pristine jungle in the Southern Osa Peninsula, one of the earth’s most vibrant natural environments. There is no resisting the lure and awe of nature and her healing powers in this place. Around the property are places to relax and to tap into the exquisite beauty and healing powers of nature. When we reconnect to nature, we also reconnect to ourselves.

It was built from the ground up as a sustainable micro-grid that runs mostly on solar power with the intention to leave the smallest footprint possible and live in harmony with the environment.  As an intimate, beachfront eco-resort off the beaten path, Blue Osa’s mission is to provide every guest with an unforgettable experience that nourishes body, mind and spirit.

Spaces to Play and Sleep

There are many beautiful, quiet spots to rest and relax near the pool, the ocean edge and near the cocina, the open kitchen and dining area. The yoga studio on the second floor has open sides with views over the beautiful gardens and the beach and ocean.

Every guest room and space is designed with beauty and simplicity and a collection of unique furnishings from around the world. They are spacious and luxurious with private baths, lots of drawers and refreshing ocean breezes as the perfect balance to the wild natural world outside.

Our hope is that you’ll be coming with your best friend, mother, partner or sisters to have the time that is hard to find at home to really relax and connect with each other. If you are traveling solo, however, we can help connect you with others to find the right roommates. Here’s more information about the rooms and trip pricing.

Our group will have exclusive use of Blue Osa to support the experience of finding peace and creating connection with your fellow sojourners.

Our Wholebeing Guides are highly trained, seasoned professionals in their disciplines and weave all aspects of these practices into their lives. This is the most relaxed I’ve ever felt. I feel like ME again and I love it! I also feel ready to take what I’ve learned back home and apply it to my day-to-day routines.

The only thing I can’t take back is those beautiful sunrise beach walks, but I can close my eyes and remember.  ~Wholebeing Traveller, 2018

Marco Dapkey

Marco Dapkey has been an athlete his entire life and was on track to follow his passion and play D1 college football as a career. However, in 2010, a diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia guided Marco’s life in a different direction. He pursued a degree in Exercise Science and began practicing yoga and mindfulness to regain his health. This path also led him to CrossFit in West Chester, PA and his life has not been the same since.

In Marco’s words, “I will never forget the feeling of excitement and nervousness I had when I first walked into CrossFit. I was immediately hooked on the community, the challenge and the opportunities to better myself. This helped me feel more like I had felt before having cancer.”

Through CrossFit and functional movement, he inspires everyone he encounters to be more engaged in their personal fitness and wholebeing. He lives this purpose every day with his growing business, CrossFit MVP in Havertown, PA.

He is also Alice’s CrossFit coach and has guided her to a new level of balanced strength, flexibility and stamina through functional movement.
